Being a victim of road rage.... Apr 26, 2012 11:34 pm
237 Views

To the members who are unaware of the : "BLUE LIGHT BRIGADE"...
a fleet of vehicles transporting important "Polititions".

Yet another "BLUE LIGHT BRIGADE" incident in the headlines once again..the abuse of this facility by officials. our MEC for
Transport has come to their defence.

Another innocent road user was killed. In this instance its the
"BLUE LIGHT'S BRIGADE" using their vehicles as weapons to push road users off their path.

I WAS A VICTIM OF THE "BLUE LIGHT BRIGADE"

Easter break I decided to visit "TRANSKEI" in AFRICA. Whilst driving observing my speed limit..hidden camera's along the freeway.. Traffic Police Officers lurking amongst trees with their hidden camera..to nab the road user not observing the speed limit...it was a glorious day. It was my friends ...my music and the open road.

Glancing at my review mirror, I could see a brigade of vehicles approaching..honking their hooter. An important POLITITION was being transported to TRANSKEI. Six black vehicles..lights flashing..hooters and sirens blaring ... Their vehicle was at my bumper.....
the driver waving his arms..honking his horn to be more nebulous driving over the speed limit...practically pushing me off the road.
Due to their aggressive driving I had to swerve off his path.
" I was driving 120 km...swerving at that speed..in traffic.."
Fearing for my life i swerved to the grass verge.

THIS WAS ROAD RAGE !!!!!! NO RESPECT TO OTHER ROAD USERS !!!!!!

Due to the latest accident where a road user was killed by the
"Blue light Brigate"..our MEC gave his comments...

"In our books, forcing motorists off the road, speeding through red lights and shooting at drivers who don't give way quickly enough, certainly violates the rights of other road users."

We all aspire to a society in which law abiding citizens can live and drive in safety. Why are these principles, allowed to be undermined by lawless leaders with an over-inflated sense of their own importance?
Something as trivial as being late for a meeting is good enough to be called an emmergency..lights flashing..hooters and sirens blaring.."Get off my way..or else !!!!!" Welcome to road rage !!!

SOUTH AFRICA WILL MARK 18 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS ON 27 APRIL 1994.
PICTURE DEPICTS PRESIDENT MANDELA'S PRISON..."JAIL"

To commensurate the celebrations, in my Province....
KWAZULU-NATAL....where ...MAHATMA GANDHI resided..outgoing
INDIAN CONSUL-GENERAL..ANIL KUMAR SHARAN..delivered a parting gift to the city.

INDIA'S DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE..would contribute R1.25 million towards the establishment of the " MAHATMA GANDHI CENTRE "
The centre would facilitate interaction and the exchange of ideas between schoolchildren in KWAZULU-NATAL and INDIA.

The promotion of universal human rights and the goal of a secure world based on human respect and Satyagraha will be highlighted at the centre.

It's been two and a half years since Anil Kumar Sharan has lived in my city which he has grown to love.
His successor...VK SHARMA...his expected arrival to DURBAN in July.

SATYAGRAHA....IN PUSUIT OF TRUTH
GANDHI..."Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err.."

Where is the division between INDIA and SOUTH AFRICA...?
Why should there be "hatred" and a "gloomy atmosphere" between members from INDIA and other FOREIGN COUNTRIES at IFF..?
The "HEAD'S" of our Countries are reconciliating to make a better world for our Children.....what examples are we showing them..?
What role models will we be to our own Kid's ?

INDIAN FRIENDFINDER DOES NOT BELONG TO INDIA...QUIT THINKING THAT
'SPARSH'..
SAKINA...quit those hatred games..we not COUNTRIES AT WAR...

THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO ALL SOUTH AFRICANS "FREEDOM DAY -
27 th APRIL 2012"

WHAT IS FREEDOM DAY IN SA ?

Some say Freedom day is .. "a gateway to opportunities, where everyone is on the same level."
"The ability to say what you feel and to be free to go anywhere, without people judging you. Freedom is about the opportunity to make your own decision and express your oppinions, whilst still respecting other people's rights."

Deep in the Rural Areas where the Black community reside...
Quotes.
"Not carrying a Dompass (id) was a A plus...freedom to move around freely. When I voted for Mandela..I thought we would be taken care of for the rest of our lives..But little has changed the freedom we fought for is different from what we are seeing today...but I at least have a home that I can call my own. Be grateful for what you have."

THE MEANING OF FREEDOM....."ELA GANDHI...GRAND-DAUGHTER OF
MAHATMA GANDHI"

Brought up with the principles of peace and non-violence inculcated by her grandfather..Mahatma Gandhi..Ela Gandhi..who was part of the struggle for democracy in SOUTH AFRICA, is proud of what the country has achieved.
"Most of us fought for freedom and sacrificed much, but most of all, MR MANDELA..and he significantly said when he was inaugurated

"We have at last achieved our political emancipation. We pledge ourselves to liberate all our people from the continuing bondage of poverty, deprivation, suffering , gender and other discriminations...We understand there is no easy road to freedom.
We must therefore act together as a United Nation, for national reconciliation, for nation building, for the BIRTH OF A NEW WORLD"

As an activist in her own right..ELA GANDHI..a SOCIAL WORKER..with
a Social Science Degree..was BANNED..for more than 12 years. She first experienced racial oppression through her parents.
quote...

"My Mother started a non racial school at Gandhi House for about 200 children, an Inspector said ..: you can't teach..there is a law against private schools, and in particular you being an
INDIAN..cannot teach AFRICAN CHILDREN."

In the 1970's..the Natal Indian Congress(NIC) was revived..and Ela was elected vice-president - her first time in such a position.

"Think BLACK..not INDIAN..inspired her a lot. It made her think what was practical. Her discussions and meetings with RICK TURNER,
BARNEY PITYANA, STEVE BIKO, STRINI MOODLEY and
SATHS COOPER(my uncle)..actually helped her to define her own life...and the need to return to GANDHI'S TEACHINGS."

"Gandhiji...is the same vein as Mandela ..had spoken about the concept of SWARAJ - INDEPENDENCE...but with a much broader meaning. To ensure all have access to basic necessities of life and dignity...Gandhiji embarked on a constructive programme at
"INDIA"...which incoporated rural upliftment as well as a new form of education aimed at building the mind, body and soul. We need to change from 'do that which makes me richer'...in terms of material gain,..to 'do that what makes me richer'...in terms of spiritual and ethical gain."

"OUR FREEDOM IS YOUR FREEDOM"..........
HAPPY FREEDOM DAY TO ALL SOUTH AFRICANS^

This blog I dedicate to "pet lovers"

It's been 10 months, and yet if somebody asks me about that day, my voice will crack. By "that day", I mean the day I came home from work to find my,...maltese poodle...splayed out on my bedroom floor, her head to one side, her body lifeless..but still warm. It's an image I can't seem to shake..as hard as I try.

I'm no stranger to death, I was a mess of anger and confusion when my hubby, passed on due to a triple bypass, took his last gasps one day...my boys gathered around the hospital bed
And three months later, the death of my Dad ..was nothing short of heartbreaking.

Yet somehow, and much to my distress, the death of my dog seems even harder. How can the death of a canine possibly hurt as much as that of a family member ? As the sadness lingers, part of my grieving process has been to try understand the difference.
Seems my pet gave me the companionship after the death of my loved ones.

I visit the S.P.C.A. ..in Durban..occassionally..just to pet the poor unwanted maltese ...don't think i will adopt another indoor pet..it's to painful when you "lose them."
My least favourite reaction comes from those who are aiming to be supportive but regularly ask me when i'm going to adopt another dog, a reaction that seems tantamount to saying.......
"GET OVER IT ALREADY. SHE WAS JUST A DOG. ISN'T ONE AS GOOD AS ANOTHER."

Just had a conversation with my son in Japan yesterday...
Quote......
"Mum when I come back to South Africa...I am adopting a Maltese Poodle"...seems i am not the only one missing our pet.

Blogging my grief is self-serving and it's a tribute to all PET owners who have lost their pets..It's a catharsis for me..I want to capture the memories ,,so I don't forget.
Cheers to all Pet lovers

I DEDICATE THIS BLOG TO ALL THE "MISCHIEF MAKER'S" IN IFF.

WHY DO PEOPLE HATE ?
WHAT DO YOU GAIN BY PUTTING DOWN OTHERS ?

When we talk about "hate"..are we driven to an hatred that brings us to a point where we need to "torture" one another ?
Are we capable to hate "someone" or "something" ?
Do we hate because we feel at the deepest level in our minds
"that we are being threatened ?"

ARE THERE ANY JUSTIFIABLE REASONS AS TO WHY A PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO "REDICULE or MOCK" another human being IN BLOGS ?

Does the fact of being different promote cause for being the
"target" of "terrorizing" by infamous members ?

Most people who insult other people are insecure human beings.
The best option is "TO IGNORE THIS MOSQUITO WHO LOVES YOUR BLOOD"

Boredom, desire to be funny, hatred of another person and their culture..or just to belittle another human being by earning points in a group effort........"wow look at me now...I am the don of IFF"

Insults can also be as a form of 'control, by blogging or lobby chats.. Insulting remarks are often used by people who are angry that their lives are out of control..What needs to be considered are the effects of name calling .....teasing.. and
bullying

Most common...the "teaser's" and "bullies" are under the impression that putting down another person in blogs "makes them cooler"
In cyber ...global site.....do we know each other..will we ever see each other..why bother on " little monsters "..

I dedicate this blog to all senile members

Three bloggers were branded for......PLAGIARISM...in the lobby

1. CILLA
2. SAKINA
3. JESS

Sakina your blogs........no member in iff can touch...
Effective writing requires a good command of the language in which you write. "Communication."......if you don't have good writing skills you will have a hard time communicating with your readers...............you make South Africa proud.

JESS you love drama....great joker...even on ...be proud you no...1....in the bloggers chart..you carry the flag for the women..

To call me that term is an insult....any fool reading my blogs will know its.... CILLA....good writing is the result of much practice and hard work...that fact should be the icing on the cake...this is my career...........
The ability to write well is not a gift that some people are born with, a priviledge extended to only a few...

Effective writing skills are to a writer what "petrol is to his car."...These skills don't come overnight...they require patience and determination..

I salute the member who was devious.........to have 4 of my blogs deleted by IFF..........
This minor setback....gives me the thrill....the world is my oyster...."Gosh ....cilla you dropped rank on blogs.....
"wonder who done the dirty deed"....

So who has been cheating in their BBM ..........!!!!!!!!! Apr 23, 2012 7:27 am

THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO ALL "BBM CHEATERS"

The world has gone either WHATSAPP or BLACKBERRY (B crazy.
Both have an instant messenging service....which has taken the world by storm..
Texting has been viewed by the American Psychiatric Association, as a form of addiction. Excessive texting has the tendency to isolate the individual and provide an escape for the texter.

But as a couple relationship why would you want to escape ?
What are they hiding from ...what don't they want to deal with ?
The answers to most of these questions were similar to those asked when a person is having an affair. It is the excitement of escaping, someone showering affection...this causes a dramatic increase of self-esteem..

Cheating spouses have been in the news for decades...TIGER WOODS..
JESSE JAMES..etc...have made news headlines with their infidelities and the story of how they got caught. Incriminating text messages have been the downfall of many men/women who were caught with "their hands in the cookie jar."

Famous quotes.....

"My wife / husband is BB crazy..and this is affecting our relationship"

"husband keeps the phone away from me...he text on BB..I want to tap his phone...I think he is cheating..he hides his phone on MOTHER'S DAY...puts his phone off..."

What about the spouses who don't get caught ?
There are millions of them out there..."Will not be surprised if the cheaters are multitasking from Indian friendfinder."

48% of men rated emotional dissatisfaction as the primary reason they cheated
66% of cheating spouses reported feeling guilty during the affair.

The sense of danger involved in an affair adds a certain thrill in the whole experience.. The lure of breaking a social rule
or " EATING THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT "...that draws a person into an affair.........walla ...straight into BBM messenger..

The " cat and mouse " games may encounter some snags...don't get caught with your " pant's down "..

Cheers to all cheaters

when in Rome speak....????? Apr 22, 2012 9:02 am

THIS BLOG I DEDICATE TO ALL SOUTH AFRICANS AT INDIAN FRIEND FINDER

They say, when in Rome do as the Romans do. What the Romans did very well in years gone by was speak latin fluently.

I'm now pretty convinced I must have been mistaken for a....
"BOERE MEISIE " during my schooldays. Why else would my education gatekeeper have decided that of the 2700 languages spoken throughout the world, my second language of study, in addition to English, had to be AFRIKAANS...only spoken by the Afrikaaner in our Country.

So there i was, saddled with two languages chosen for me, without any consultation - one a complex language full of niceties and the other a nice language full of complexities.
While I had no problem with ENGLISH, it being the common language around the world..being born in a westernised home... our Indian lingo...very few family members spoke...
Afrikaans was pushed down my throat like an unpleasant laxative.

Among Indians, Whites and Coloured people, fluency in AFRICAN LANGUAGES..is hardly evident and that's largely because of our history under apartheid.
But even in the black community, although more than 3.1 million pupils use zulu as a home language, fewer than a third of them choose to be taught in their home language. My understanding of the zulu lingo is of a pidgin mixture...thats not cool..

It is said that the purpose of any language is to communicate thoughts. If that is true i want to speak zulu fluently so that i can share thoughts with people i share a country with. I want to be able to read publications like,,,"ISOLEZWE"...Kwa-Zulu Natal's
largest selling newspaper .which we publish at work...so that i
know what other SOUTH AFRICANS are saying ...thinking,,,and doing.

As a citizen of South Africa I don't believe we need interpreters to fascilitate conversations among ourselves. We can encourage social cohesion among South Africans by breaking down barriers.

I support the campaign to make the teaching of AFRICAN LANGUAGES
compulsory in our schools.
WHEN IN ROME ....BY ALL MEANS....SPEAK LATIN...BUT WHEN AT HOME..
SPEAK AN AFRICAN LANGUAGE..

PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN

FEMININE FLAWS Apr 21, 2012 4:07 pm

For women, rules are best when they are unwritten, and best understood only by other women. Ask any husband what confuses him most about his wife's behaviour and he's bound to say
" her logic."
This is most prevalent in situations that demand some measure of social sensibility.

Typical example.......

A Husband and wife go to a Dinner Party and during the conversation the husband turns to his wife ,
lovingly takes her hand, gently squeezes it, and,
say's just loud enough for those nearby to hear,

"For me marriage is for life."
As he say's that, a women nearby rises from the table
and rushes off crying.
His wife turns to him, glares then barks,

"You're not supposed to say things like that, you know Jenny's husband just left her."
The other women at the table will look at him and shake
their heads with shock,
the other men will shrug and look perplexed.

Somewhere out there is a list of rules written, and continually updated, by women that explains why such actions are inappropriate

However, should a husband be met with a stony silence and a clearly upset wife and he asks her whats wrong, she will say,
"nothing."
THIS IS A GREY AREA.....
The husband has to guess what it is, what he has done wrong and what he is expected to do to make things better...
"Men fail to understand us!!!!!"
